Closing words for a conference – a hopeful opening of a new development period

Abstract

The author, in his role as President of the Hungarian Pedagogical Society, evaluates the conference entitled Chances and Challenges – SNI and BTMN Students in Vocational Training, which was initiated and organised by the Society itself. It also presents an assessment of the situation and the proposals – partly concerning the vocational training system and partly concerning the practice of the institutions involved – which have emerged from the conference in order to improve the support for young people with different abilities in vocational education.
