About the Editorial Board

The Editor-in-Chief and members of the Editorial Board of Opus et Educatio are scientifically qualified researchers (PhD or DSc degrees) who have published in domestic and international scientific journals. Researchers from institutions in many countries (five in 2023) are represented on the Editorial Board.

The editorial board members do not make public any information about the submitted manuscript except for the author, lectors, other editorial board members, or publisher.

According to the editorial board's internal regulations, when criticizing the publications of the editorial board members and the editor-in-chief, the anonymous review is carried out by inviting external, independent, academically certified reviewers.

Editorial Policies and Ethical Considerations

The editorial office of Opus et Educatio evaluates the submitted manuscripts in a double-blind peer-review system on the OJS/PKP online platform and in the framework of the work process. In this process, we invite reviewers who are prepared following the professional content of the article and have scientific qualifications, who are not allowed to know the author's data, to ensure the review's objectivity. Opus et Education complies with the guidelines and best practices set forth by the Commission on Publication Ethics (COPE).

The Editor-in-Chief will consider received submissions to determine whether they fall within the journal's scope. The Opus et Educatio reserves the right to run the submitted manuscripts through a plagiarism filtering system. Appropriate submissions will be sent out for full external review. Professional lecturers must be scientifically qualified (with at least a PhD). Those materials waiting for publication can only be used with the authors' written permission for the editor's (or editorial board members) own research.
At least two experts will typically assess manuscripts sent out for review. Reviewers are allocated to manuscripts based on various criteria, including expertise, availability, and workload. Only the leading specialists in the area of the manuscript are invited as reviewers. The decision of the EditorEditor with the experts' comments will be sent to the authors. In considering the manuscript, authors are asked to improve their manuscripts based on the editor's and the reviewers' comments. When authors submit their revised work, they have to provide a corrected version of their manuscript.

Revisions and resubmissions of previously rejected manuscripts will be sent back to those reviewers who evaluated the original version of the manuscript. However, in some cases, the EditorEditor may only re-invite some original reviewers and may invite new ones.
