A migráció szerepe a demográfiai kihívások kezelésében

Demographic estimates project a shrinking population in the European Union after 2030. This trend is already evident in some countries, including our own. The shrinking population, together with the increase in life expectancy, will lead to a reduction in the number of people of active age and an ageing society. This places a significant burden on health and social systems and threatens the sustainability of pension systems. At the same time, there is a trend towards a slow but steady increase in emigration on the whole world. Migration is partly climatic and partly geopolitical, both between and within regions. A significant part of it is directed from less developed to more developed areas. A general finding of migration research is that rapid labour market integration is one of the foundations for the social integration of migrants. It is likely that in developed countries migration is not only a problem but also a solution to existing or emerging demographic phenomena.

It could pop up that – in parallel with the volume of immigration increases – the nationality distribution of arriving immigrants in developed countries will become more diverse, which could, in principle, facilitate socio-economic integration. Therefore, after outlining the main trends in European migration, the paper attempts to provide a comprehensive picture of migration trends relying on a hypothesis test based on a secondary analysis of the UN migration database.

The effectiveness of children with learning disabilities based on talent management and extracurricular sports activities

In the study, the main talent management models and their development are reviewed, as well as the definition and characterization of learning disabilities. The purpose of the study is to highlight that learning disability does not preclude someone from being talented. Talent management is also important for all social groups, because if the person can develop his/her talent, it can have a positive impact on their future. In the 6th grade database of the 2019 National Competence Measurement, the study analyzes the impact of participation in talent development and extracurricular sports on the reading comprehension and mathematics results of students with learning disabilities. According to the results, depending on the type of learning disability, but for the most part, children who participate in these activities, achieve higher results. The results also show that people with a better family background participate in extracurricular activities, presumably because of the paid activities, so the civil sector could have the opportunity to provide free opportunities for those who cannot afford it.

Presentation of the Cultural Intelligence (CQ) survey of secondary school students

In our study, we investigated the cultural intelligence (CQ) of secondary school students, the knowledge and conscious use of which can be one of the tools to face the challenges of a globalised, diverse but frictional environment. Its importance, competitive function and benefits have been recognised for some time by the corporate sector, but it has not yet been a priority factor in education, especially in secondary schools. The aim of our study is therefore to present this new key competence. For our survey, we used a validated, self-administered questionnaire and data were collected online. Using statistical methods, we have shown that multicultural experience increases CQ scores the most, but that there are also significant differences between the secondary school students who completed the questionnaire, according to gender, type of school and language proficiency.

Generatív mesterséges intelligencia oktatásának lehetősége középiskolákban

A generatív mesterséges intelligenciára épülő szolgáltatások egyre szélesebb körben és egyre nagyobb területen terjednek el. Valószínű, hogy ezen eszközök használata beépül a mindennapokba, részét képezve a digitális kultúránknak. Ez a trend előrevetíti annak a szükségességét, hogy a középiskolás korú diákok intézményes oktatás keretei között is foglalkozzanak a generatív mesterséges intelligenciával. Értsék meg alapelveit, ismerjék meg limitációit és a felhasználáshoz kötődő etikai kérdéseket annak érdekében, hogy biztonságosan és hatékonyan tudják hasznosítani, értelmezni és értékelni a gépek által generált digitális tartalmakat. A jelen tanulmány célja, hogy felvesse ennek az új tananyag elemnek az oktatási rendszerbe való integrálását.

Kisiskolák kapcsolat a település műveltségi szintjével és a közösségi élettel

Pedagógusként és település vezetőként is mindig is kíváncsi voltam arra, hogy egy kistelepülésen élők mit gondolnak a helyi iskola teljesítményéről. Vajon érzik-e, hogy a települési intézmény munkája visszatükröződik a lakosok műveltségén, a falu közösségi életén? 2023-ban közoktatási vezetői végzettséget szereztem, ahol a dolgozatomban sikerült ezzel a témával kapcsolatos első lépéseimet megtennem. A vizsgálatot 2022 augusztus-október között folytattam le, ezért a felhasznált irodalmak között azok szerepelnek, melyek a vizsgálat időpontjában elérhetők voltak.

Ezzel a vizsgálattal az volt a célom, hogy a megvizsgáljam a Dél-Fejér településeinek lakosságának véleményét az előzőkkel kapcsolatban. A lakosok látnak-e összefüggést a községük műveltségi szintje és a helyi iskola munkája és a között. Valamint mennyire aktív részese a helyi pedagógus társadalom a települést működtető közösségi életnek? Ilyen, vagy ehhez hasonló kutatást, esszét nem találtam, ezért ez munkia úttörő ezen a területen. A szakirodalom feldolgozása során tisztáztam azon alapfogalmakat, melyek kutatás szempontjából relevánsak voltak számomra. Ilyen például a kisiskola és a műveltség fogalmának meghatározása.

A vizsgálatomat kérdőíves módszerrel tettem meg. A kérdőívet a településen élők számára és a községet irányító polgármesterek részére is megosztottam. A polgármesterek esetén 10 fő (9 polgármester és a saját településem alpolgármestere), a lakosok esetén 811 fő töltötte ki az űrlapot. Ennek eredményének egy rész fogom bemutatni.

Organizational trust is a basic pillar in an unpredictable business environment.

Recent years’ social and economic events have had a major impact on workplace dynamics and relationships. This is why the dimension of stability is appreciated; trust, psychological security and resilience being key factors. Trust is a hidden and opportunity factor in the organization, we should develop it and build consciousness which can be a key factor in today's unpredictable business environment. The ability to build, stabilize, maintain and rebuild organizational trust is one of the most important leadership competencies in today's global economy, helping organizations to become more resilient to external influences and to maintain their internal balance.

In this paper, I would like to highlight the importance of trust not staying hidden in organizations, but getting light in a way that can help organizations to deal more effectively with the challenges of an uncertain and unpredictable business environment. We should build on trust as a stable and valuable element.

A közszolgáltató és vagyonkezelő szervezetek teljesítménymérésének kérdései

An essential area of municipal work is the professional and effective management of one's property, preserving its value and increasing it as much as possible, as well as increasing the quantity and quality of public services provided to the population. It is not enough to "extract" that there is actual performance behind this type of work only from the economic data of the companies and the wording of various reports. However, it is much more important to reveal the actual performance of some regions of this activity to learn about the direction and extent of the changes. Performance measurement is aided by analyzing both economic data and providing activities with indicators. Using a case study, the study shows how the performance of municipal public services and asset management can be measured using the example of a local government company. In the present framework, in addition to presenting the theoretical background, the paper examines the changes in economic data and their impact on the Company's performance. In the next part, based on the quantitative data of the individual professional areas, their performance will be examined with the help of the indicators created for the areas. After the data has been aggregated, the change in the performance of the given Company as a whole during the given period will be evaluated.

Globális kérdések a felnőttkori tanulás és nevelés jelenében

Sokat mondó a cím, Béke és fenntarthatóság, egy nemzetközi felnőtt-tanulási konferenciáról szóló (Kisinyov/Chișinău – 2023. november 9-11.) beszámoló elején. A két kulcskifejezés egy időben jelent sajátos aktualitást és globális kihívást. A világ számos térségében zajlanak súlyos fegyveres konfliktusok, közvetlen szomszédságunkban is immár közel két éve. S bár a háborúk az okokat tekintve különbözőek, azonban a drámai következményeiket illetően azonos jellemzőik vannak, felmérhetetlen károkkal jár az emberi szenvedés. A globális felmelegedés, az azt kísérő klíma-változás és természeti katasztrófák hatása szintén „háborús” pusztítással jár. Mindezek megelőzése, a már elszenvedett károk enyhítése indokolt módon helyezte a cím két fő elemét – béke és fenntarthatóság fogalmat – egymás mellé. Mindehhez a pedagógia diszciplína pedig olyan tág kereteket teremtett, a felnőttek tanulásának nemzetközi problematikája által, mely a nevelés konstruktív szerepének szempontjából különösen időszerű elemzési kereteket biztosíthat.

A könyvi címe magyarul Memória mesterség vagy Emlékezet művészet lehetne. Írója, Lynne Kelly, Ausztráliában él, és nem örökölt az átlagosnál jobb emlékező képességet. Az utóbbit áldásnak gondolja, mert ezért kezdett el a memória edzésének lehetőségeivel foglalkozni, ami memória bajnokká válását is lehetővé tette. Az előbbi miatt került ausztrál őslakosokkal kapcsolatba, akik szájhagyomány útján 7-10000 évre visszamenőleg őriztek meg Ausztrália tájainak változásával kapcsolatos információkat, pontosan elmondva, hogy mi történt a tájjal az utolsó jégkorszak után. Jelenlegi kutatómunkája e mnemotechnikai módszerek alkalmazására összpontosít több területen, elsőként az oktatásban; az őshonos memóriarendszerek középiskolai és egyetemi tantervbe, valamint a tanárképzésbe való integrálásával.

"Chosen or stigmatized" - lessons from the past about disability for today

Our review presents as an educational science analysis the evaluation of Emese Berzsenyi's book, "Chosen or Stigmatized? – Teachings on Disability in the Sacred Books of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam," published in 2020. Her work provides insights into the teachings related to disability and the perception of disabled individuals within the three Abrahamic religions. What beliefs were held, what was preached, and how did the people of the Scriptures' era relate to otherness? The more ancient and complex a religion's social teachings are, the greater the challenge it presents to uncover the distortions of meaning that have accumulated over time. However, it is our contemporary task to reintegrate these teachings in a renewed, purified form and to dismantle centuries of mistakes, misinterpretations, and misunderstandings. Does this internationally unique research meet its set goals and the expected tasks? This is what we seek to answer as specialists in developmental and special education, and as professionals in educational sciences focused on talent development and talent research.
