Presentation of the Cultural Intelligence (CQ) survey of secondary school students

In our study, we investigated the cultural intelligence (CQ) of secondary school students, the knowledge and conscious use of which can be one of the tools to face the challenges of a globalised, diverse but frictional environment. Its importance, competitive function and benefits have been recognised for some time by the corporate sector, but it has not yet been a priority factor in education, especially in secondary schools. The aim of our study is therefore to present this new key competence. For our survey, we used a validated, self-administered questionnaire and data were collected online. Using statistical methods, we have shown that multicultural experience increases CQ scores the most, but that there are also significant differences between the secondary school students who completed the questionnaire, according to gender, type of school and language proficiency.Author Biographies

Egyetemi adjunktus a MATE Agrár- és Élelmiszergazdasági Intézet Agrármenedzsment és Vezetéstudományi Tanszékén. Oktatóként gazdasági alap- és mesterszakos hallgatókat tanít magyar és angol nyelven, többek között a Tudásmenedzsment, Tárgylástechnika és konfliktuskezelés, Üzleti kommunikáció, Multikulturális menedzsment tantárgyakat. Kutatási területe a vezetéstudományhoz kapcsolódik: multikulturális menedzsment, kulturális intelligencia, külföldi munkavállalás, kulturális sokk. Publikációi is ezen témákban jelentek meg.

Habilitált egyetemi docens a MATE Agrár- és Élelmiszergazdasági Intézet Agrármenedzsment és Vezetéstudományi Tanszékén.
